Very pleased. Have grown this on the edge of a raised bed. The leaves are a good contrasting colour to the other plants, and we have had plenty of the beautiful, fragrant flowers.

I was delighted with the performance of the plants - what arrived was 3 healthy looking well-rooted cuttings and they have thriven in the garden. We open for the ngs so it is omportant that plants perofrm well - and the genuine Mrs Sinkins is not easy to get hold of, so l am very happy indeed to be able to incorporate this variety in my garden display.

Seem to be growing ok but no flowers - hope they survive!

Reply from the Sarah Raven Team:

"Thank you for your review. Dianthus can put their energy into growing, rather than flowering in the first year. They should flower next year, please do contact us at info@sarahraven.com if they don't."

The plants have grown well but have had very few flowers this summer but maybe that is because of the heat. Many plants in my garden which should have been flowering earlier, and didn't, are flowering now.

** I also purchased a Dahlia collection but I am afraid my experience with that has been very disappointing. After planting the tubers growth rates of the 3 varieties was very varied and I ended up planting out 7 plants (of 9)

Once in the ground growth was very slow and almost from the start the leaves became distorted and the plants looked very unsightly. When flower buds did appear they were also often distorted and eventually I sent a sample to the RHS as I could see nothing on the leaves to cause the damage. Their verdict was the plants had been attacked by Capsid bugs.

What I should like to know is whether the tubers were affected when I received them and whether, if I do keep the tubers over the winter,I shall have the same problem next year. I have never had a problem with Capsid bugs before.

Reply from the Sarah Raven Team:

"Thank you for your review. We are sorry to hear of your disappointment with your dahlias. We are unaware of any reports of problems with capsid bugs so it is unlikely that the tubers were affected and hopefully they will over winter successfully for you."

They came well packed, by Royal Mail(saves rushing delivery men leaving them in wrong place/address as happens with these courier firms).
The plants were in good condition.
I am very pleased with the plants, the helpful people who answer the telephone and Sarah Raven's service altogether

The delivery service was not great, as plant was left by dust bin. No note was left so I didn't spot it until later. The plant looks healthy but has not flowered maybe it has insufficient sun.
