So-called 'Society Garlic' is one of the prettiest and best summer edible flowers, with a garlic flavour but no aftertaste. It's very drought resistant and makes a great container or front of border filler.

Sowing, Seeds, Planting Plants do best when planted in a light well drained soil, add plenty of grit to the planting hole with plenty of sunlight.
Care Tips Probably the hardiest of all the Tulbaghias, grown outside in the south with a winter mulch.

Harvesting Flower production: 3 months.
Cooking Notes Edible flowers, with a taste like garlic but no aftertaste.
