Sowing, Seeds, Planting Since they are frost hardy, plant out young seedlings any time of year. *Note this plant is seen as a pest on pastoral land, but seed dispersion is easily managed with effective cutting and cultivation in a controlled area such as a cutting patch or greenhouse.
Care Tips Thlaspi is a cornfield annual, so the conditions are not demanding in fact they thrive on heavy disturbed clay soil. For tall strong upright plants grow in the confines of a greenhouse or alternatively grow on the cutting patch for a more natural wild looking plant. *Thlaspi can become a nuisance if it is allowed to self-seed. Cut the seed heads before they dry and save the seed to sow where you want them to grow, to prevent them running riot.
