Our favourite mid-pink rose at Perch Hill, healthy, vigorous (so suited for training onto bent hoops, Sissinghurst-style) and long-flowering. It also has lovely scent and is good for picking.

Sowing, Seeds, Planting Before planting bare-root roses, soak roots in a bucket of water for at least two hours. Prune any damaged roots and dig a hole 30-45cm deep and 60cm wide. Roses like heavy compact soil, so be sure to heal them in well. To aid quick establishment, sprinkle mycorrhizal fungi (Rootgrow) into the base of the planting hole.
Care Tips Deadhead in summer after flowering, prune in winter. Water well until established, add fertiliser and mulch each spring.
