Copper and mahohany brown reign supreme as a flower colour and I fell on these in our viola trial this spring, each variety with a copper section to its bloom. Pick them for mini vases or use the petals to decorate food.

This collection contains 5 jumbo seedlings each of:
  • Viola hybrida 'Sorbet Honeybee' F1
  • Viola hybrida 'Tiger Eye Red' F1
  • Viola x wittrockiana 'Frizzle Sizzle Yellow Blue Swirl' F1

Sowing, Seeds, Planting Plant out in autumn or spring into fertile, well-drained soil and water in well. Ideal for containers and edging paths to soften the edges.
Care Tips If growing in containers incorporate a slow-release fertiliser or give a balanced liquid feed every 2-3 weeks. Deadhead regularly to prolong flowering and maintain a compact shape.

Vase Life Sear stem ends for 5 seconds for arranging in a mini jug or vase.
Harvesting Flower production: up to 8 months
Cooking Notes All violas are edible - use them to decorate salads and puddings.
