A neat and compact evergreen shrub with large, glossy, oval leaves. Small white flowers form clusters in spring, followed by colour-changing berries, which move through green, pink and red before settling to a deep metallic blue as they ripen, providing late autumn and winter feasts for garden birds.

Sowing, Seeds, Planting Grows well in most moderately fertile, humus-rich, moist but well-drained soils. A very hardy and tolerant plant that deserves a more prominent position. Happy in part shade but will even establish under a leaf canopy.
Care Tips Requires minimal pruning. To retain a neat, dome-like shape cut back to strong stems or the base of the plant
