Bergenia are incredibly hardy, and reliably evergreen. ‘Dark Damsel’ forms a low clump of glossy, dark green leaves which turn rich and plummy red in the winter. The stems are rhubarb-red, topped with dense, semi-double deep pink flowers in spring. Plant bergenias en masse, or to edge a path.
