Constantly busy with butterflies and bees, this beautiful airy Californian native perennial flowers long and hard from mid-summer to the end of autumn. It is widely grown in the USA as a long vase life cut flower, and is hardy enough to withstand our winters.

Sowing, Seeds, Planting | Plant in full sun, soil should be well-drained and average to humus-rich. Allow good spacing between plants to aid air circulation. Add grit to the base of the hole on heavy ground. Water until established. Plant in groups of 3 or more. Sprinkle mycorrhizal fungi (Rootgrow) into the base of the planting hole and water well after planting. |
Care Tips | Avoid overwatering - this likes dry conditions. Flowering time varies greatly depending on location and weather conditions. Some areas will see it already flowering in June, whereas in cooler spots it may be much later. |

This latest purchase, bare root Asclepias, arrived in excellent time and condition and all three are growing well. Each year I also make my vegetable and flower cutting garden seed purchases. All plants and seeds come with instructions for best planting. Great service |

Took a long time to grow but eventually now have a couple of stems. Still in pots. Great customer service. |
