As always, good service delivering quality plants. Having tried unsuccessfully to grow these from seed, decided to invest in plants - great investment and plants did the job in flower festival.

Stunning unique grass, found it hard to keep alive during the 7 week hot weather period despite every day watering, 3 out of 5 dried out

This is an extraordinary plant. It starts fairly small, sending out sprays of fibre-optic flowerheads, but then it goes into overdrive and produces more open, taller panicles of flowers which act as umbrellas over the first ones. Weird and wonderful, and very atmospheric with its hazy habit. It has drawn comment and admiration in the front garden this summer. It looks great with spires of blue salvias coming up amongst it.

I think Panicum Elegans is a fantastic grass plant! As well as buying seedlings I bought packets of seeds from you x4. Everyone of them came up and I was overloaded with Frosted Explosion so.... I shared them with my brother and sister, my brother commented that no flowers had appeared, to which I told him there wasn't any flowers they were just huge "clouds of fluffiness" anyway bottom line is both brother and sister loved them!
Only one drawback, you need tweezers and a magnifying glass when sowing the seeds as I know I sowed excessive seeds as they are so tiny, but then they made a wonderful display!!!

These have shot up over the last month or so... don't be fooled by their 'weedy' appearance when they arrive... I hadn't realised how large they become! Each plant has loads of beautiful airy plumes. Next year I will be more sparing when planting them amongst flowers in the borders... Planted them between cosmos and echinacea, and they looked stunning.

Great grass

I heard about this grass on Arthur Parkinson's blog and I now know why he recommended it for the border and for flower arranging. I was a little concerned when I first planted it out as it looked like, well , grass. I even stuck labels next to the plants to stop them being weeded. Within couple of weeks they had formed healthy clumps and are still looking good in amongst the flowers.

Brilliant airy grass. Adds a meadow feel to any bunch of flowers. Lasts well in water. Dries and stays looking good, well, as far as I can make out, indefinitely! I've had a bunch in a vase on my windowsill all winter.

I have grown this for two years and will do again this year. Very easy and looks amazing in pots either mixed in with other plants or massed on its own.
