Sowing, Seeds, Planting Half-hardy annuals will require protection until after the last frosts. Gradually acclimatise plants to outdoor conditions for 7-10 days before moving to their final position. For growing in pots, use as large a container as possible, as this won't dry out so quickly and will require less watering. As a general guide we recommend 9-10 plants to a 40cm (16in) diameter container. Put plenty of crocks in the bottom for drainage and part-fill with a good quality, multi-purpose peat-free compost. Position your plants and backfill with compost ensuring the top of the root ball is level with the soil surface. Water well to settle the soil.
Care Tips Deadhead to prolong the flowering period. These will work well in a container pot in a sunny position. Water well in the first two weeks, to prevent the plant from drying out. Apply liquid fertiliser fortnightly to improve performance.

The plants arrived quickly and although they were a little small and stressed they have gone on to grow and provide a beautiful display

Excellent service and the plants are fabulous! Prolific flowering habit and they last well. Will definitely get more for next year.

It took them ages to flower and even now they are well behind the others bought locally. (I emailed separately about this and there was an excellent customer service response.)
