Lysimachia atropurpurea has wonderful, crimson flower spikes which look like tiny pineapples when they first emerge, above silvery-green foliage.

If sown early, this may flower in its first year.

Sowing, Seeds, Planting Sow direct February - April, pot on until roots fill a 9cm pot. And/or sow in September-October and overwinter in a coldframe. It can take 4 weeks to germinate. Sow early for flowers the same year. Add plenty of organic matter to enrich the soil before planting and choose a spot in full sun or partial shade, with moist but well-drained soil.
Care Tips May need support. Divide in spring.
Flowering May - September, the following year.
Vase Life Lasts 10-14 days. No conditioning needed.
