A duo of my two favourite border-scale tender perennials - the species, purple pompom fuchsia, its gunmetal berries as handsome as the flowers and the lotus flower lookalike salvia, which was in my top ten favourite plants in the whole Perch Hill garden last summer and autumn.

We use both as statuesque container and border gap-fillers. The salvia is a hardy perennial with us.

This collection contains 5 young plants each of:

Soil Type Chalky, Fertile, Neutral, Sandy
Scent Fragrant foliage
Site Full Sun
Moisture Moist but Well-drained
Height 1.8m (5ft 11in)
Spacing 75cm (30in)
Sowing, Seeds, Planting Plant in spring after risk of frosts.
Care Tips Mulch heavily to protect through the winter or bring indoors.
Flowering July - November
Harvesting Flower production: 5 months
