A wonderful tangerine poppy with delicate, silvery foliage. A perfect garden plant for edging paths, giving a naturalistic feel. It will self-sow.

Sowing, Seeds, Planting Sow under cover in spring. Direct sow in April and/or August-September. Choose a planting spot with fairly dry, well-drained soil that is poor to moderately fertile. Full sun is essential as is protection from winter wet.
Care Tips Great for growing in container pots or borders with poor soil where it will thrive on neglect and freely self seed. Deadhead regularly to encourage more blooms.
Flowering June - September
Vase Life 5 days, sear stem ends in boiling water for 30 seconds.
Harvesting Flower production: 2 months.

These were glorious, BUT
for added excitement in my garden of perennials, opened July 7 for the Ngs (33 Huddleston Road, N7OAD), I grew the seeds mentioned very successfully. I also ordered 15 Ami Majus and five Thunbergia "Sunny Susie Brownie". Of the 15 Ami, planted out mid April, only five survived until July. The Thunbergia bloomed beautifully on the ground but refused to climb, so wasn't seen. Both of these were very disappointing!!

Most successful germination this year among my direct sown cut flowers - kept coming and coming and have looked stunning. Their stems do need to be seared if you want them to cut well
