This excelled in our spring container trial in 2019 - perky, cheerful, dense with flowers and honeybees, from late spring until summer, just like its wild counterpart, Sea Thrift. I absolutely loved it in a window box and shallow terracotta tray as a table centre on our outside eating table.

Sowing, Seeds, Planting | Armeria are evergreen perennials forming tufts or mats so they make ideal groundcover plants when planted in close groups. This works best in containers, low beds like gravel gardens or at the front of a border. |
Care Tips | Armeria are very undemanding and pest free. As long as you get the planting position right on don’t over water they'll be trouble-free. Cut back after flowering and leave to flower again the following spring. |
