    Purple Sage

What’s better than a plant that is as useful in a pot or border, as it is in the kitchen? This classic sage is exactly that; a beautiful smoky grey-purple foliage filler, and equally invaluable served with pumpkin and squash, as it is with pork and pasta. It’s dead easy to grow and evergreen,…

Rudbeckia x hirta hybrida 'Cherokee Sunset'

I’m always on the lookout for rust-coloured flowers; like crimson, rust goes with all my favourite colours and slots in so easily anywhere. Rudbeckias are long and prolific flowerers, so this is hard not to love. We used it last summer in the cutting garden and to add autumn colour to our flower…

    Pelargonium 'Aurore'

There is no longer-flowering pelargonium than ‘Aurore’. It may not have the delicate pink flowers of ‘Attar of Roses’, or the richness of ‘Lord Bute’, but we grow lots of this every year, and have for years, because it almost never stops flowering. Whether inside as a house plant…

Container Plant Care

We offer a unique range of plant pots and containers for planting and displaying your plants, so you can give them pride of place on your patio or by your front door. Plants in containers typically require a little more care than garden plants, so every container plant we sell includes detailed planting and care instructions, and we also offer advice through our website, such as our video on creating perfect summer flower containers.
