A well-known and reliable shrub, best trained against a wall or fence. The winter jasmine is a slender, deciduous shrub native to China where it is knowns as ‘Yingchun’ or, ‘the flower that welcomes spring’, when its blossom comes into full peak. It will need tying in as it’s not a natural twiner. In the first months of year, cut the bright green stems in bloom for a sunny vase.
