Sowing, Seeds, Planting | Clematis need moisture-retentive, but well-drained soil, in full sun or partial shade. Keep the base of the plant and the roots cool and shaded, by carefully positioning other plants, or put a layer of pebbles or flat stones at the base. Make sure you plant this with a method of support, and tie it in as it grows. This variety is virtually tendril-free, so won't entwine itself around an obelisk or trellis, you'll have to give it a hand. |
Care Tips | Pruning group 1 - Tidy after flowering. Read Sarah's article for more information on how to prune clematis. This is a vigorous climber, and will need to be positioned against a wall or support, and is likely to need tying in. |
