Hesperis matronalis is one of my favourite biennials which forms puffy clouds of mauve scented flowers through May and June.

It's ideal for filling gaps in sun or shade, flowering just when the tulips go over, but most of your perennials and roses are yet to get going. I pick lots of it too.

Sowing, Seeds, Planting Sow under cover May - July. Plant out late summer - early autumn. Can be sown direct.
Care Tips Leave to self-seed and they will gradually naturalise. Otherwise, remove seedheads after blooming to encourage a second bloom and reduced seed production.
Flowering May - July, 1 year from sowing seed
Vase Life Lasts 5-7 days - fragrance most pronounced in the evening.
Harvesting Flower production: 2-3 months.
