Spacing Plant 10cm (4in) apart and 8cm (3in) deep.
Sowing, Seeds, Planting Plant bulbs 10cm (4in) apart at a depth of approximately three times the height of the bulb. Galtonia dislikes winter wet but also need to be kept moist during the growing season so incorporate plenty of compost when planting and add some grit to the planting hole.
Care Tips If slugs are a problem, protect plants using wool pellets or nematodes. Avoid moving plants once established as they do not like being disturbed but if you wish to propagate, lift in late autumn and remove the small offsets from the mother bulb for potting on. Lift or mulch bulbs in winter in cold, wet areas.
