I love this mini compact pineapple lily - or eucomis - perfect for table centre pots, its seedpods are almost as good as the flowers, topping the bulbs well through autumn.

Sowing, Seeds, Planting Plant in fertile, well-drained soil, in full sun. Avoid crowding and shady areas of the garden. Best grown in very free-draining compost in a terracotta pot and taken under cover for winter or, in very mild areas, grow in a gravel bed or rockery.
Care Tips Frost-hardy pineapple flowers can be grown outdoors in the southern parts of the UK, but in other areas, grow them in containers and move to a sheltered position when the weather cools.

The plants have grown into nice healthy specimens all with good flowers on them already.
The service was ultimately good, but the order was delayed and I had to chase it up
