Spacing Plant the corms 10-15cm (4-6in) apart, 10-15cm (4-6in) deep in the ground. In containers, plant 10-15 corms per 30cm (12in) diameter pot.
Sowing, Seeds, Planting Corms should be planted out once the soil has warmed up from late spring to early summer, if your soil is not free draining add plenty of grit or sharp sand to the planting hole. May be planted earlier in containers and placed in a cool, frost-free place to be moved outside once the risk of frost has passed.
Care Tips Water regularly during growing season and stake tall varieties. Lift after first frosts. If you're growing in containers, stop watering at the end of summer and bring the pots indoors for the winter. Leave them in their pots or take them out and dry. Put them out again next spring after danger of night frosts has passed. Find out more advice about how to plant and grow gladioli corms here.
