More Details

Dahlia 'Happy Halloween' is the perfect orange dahlia, exactly the colour of a pumpkin – neat, robust and floriferous. This is a new variety, only named in 2009, and is the best in this colour I've ever seen. It lasted very well as a cut flower for us this year too.

Our dahlias:

  • are first class, healthy tubers – the largest and best you can buy.
  • come with full planting, spacing and cultivating instructions for beginner gardeners
  • tubers should be potted up when they arrive and be kept in a light, frost-free place until the frosts are over and then be planted into the garden.

Best orange dahlia

I bought this some years ago, left it in the ground and it became a substantial plant. I left it behind when I moved house and have just bought it again because I missed it so much last year. To me, it's the best orange dahlia.

I grew this for the first time last year and was very pleased.A lovely clear orange which kept its colour well as the flowers faded and looked splendid with verbena rigida, salvia caradonna and geum 'Totally Tangerine'. Another plus is its compact size, ideal in my small town garden.
