Bulbs in the Green

Certain bulbs, like bluebells, aconites and snowdrops, do better when planted 'in the green' in spring, rather than in their dormant state. It's like lifting a clump from your own garden; they settle in quickly and will start to flower from the following year. Here is our collection of bulbs in the green, sent out when they are in active growth and their leaves are just beginning to die back. Many of these varieties will naturalise too, creating wonderful drifts and carpets of flowers over time.
