Soil Type Broad Tolerance

Moisture Moist but Well-drained
Height 45cm (18in)
Spacing Plant pointy end up, 10-15cm (4-6in) inches deep with three to four inches between each bulb.
Care Tips Plant anytime from August-November. Plant pointy end up, 10-15cm deep with 8-10cm between each bulb in borders (less in containers). After flowering deadhead but allow leaves to die back naturally to give the bulbs strength for the following year.
Flowering March - April
Vase Life Narcissi make great cut flowers lasting up to a week in the vase. I love them jumbled up in large jugs on the table. Be careful mixing with other flower types as their stems give off a compound that is toxic to other flowers and soak their stems in warm water before displaying to stop the 'goo' from running out.

The service at Sarah Raven is well organised, informative and prompt. The Narcissus 'Actaea' bulbs I ordered arrived in good condition and on flowering this Spring provided a good addition to a bed of mixed white bulbs that provides 2-3 months of interest.
