More Details

The finer, more delicate narcissi look good planted in pots for flowering from early in the spring. Collect them on your doorstep or a small outside table under a window, so you can admire, and smell these highly scented varieties, as you go in and out all day. These are sitting just outside my office window, bang in my view.

Care Tips Plant anytime from August-November. Plant pointy end up, 10-15cm deep with 8-10cm between each bulb in borders (less in containers). After flowering deadhead but allow leaves to die back naturally to give the bulbs strength for the following year.
Flowering March - April
Vase Life Narcissi make great cut flowers lasting up to a week in the vase. I love them jumbled up in large jugs on the table. Be careful mixing with other flower types as their stems give off a compound that is toxic to other flowers. Leave their stems in warm water for an hour before arranging, to stop the 'goo' from running out.
