Alliums are incredibly long-lived and flower for ages. The ones at Perch Hill have been coming back year after year for the last 12 years. I love them for adding late spring and summer pizzazz – strong colour and shape to the border, and they are excellent for cutting. This mix flowers from mid May to June.

I'm giving this purchase a 'poor' because half the bulbs were very small and in very poor condition. I did inform your customer dept. because I thought you needed to know and it didn't seem to be a surprising complaint about this collection. I was offered a replacement but I was so disappointed and refused the offer.

On a much happier note, the wall flowers( exceptional condition and performance) and the two tulip collections I also purchased were beautiful.

The alliums came up beautifully - strong colours, great flowers and lasted for about a month before the purple faded and left the sculptural seedheads. Planted in autumn for.colour in may/June.

Beautiful plants. We were rather late planting them, but they forgave us and produced magnificent purple heads. I plan to use the remaining seed heads for flower arranging.

The Purple Sensation Alliums which I bought last autumn have now finished flowering. They provided a great display and followed on nicely after my tulips. I love the structure of the dried flower heads which continue to provide interest as the season progresses.

Delighted with these - performed extremely well on two very different sites within the garden. Robust and long lasting - will certainly purchase more this autumn
