More Details

I love spring flowers and leaves and none more so than those picked from the garden - wonderful soft, curvy tulips, green and crimson hellebores, trailing vines of clematis, billowing boughs of blossom, sharp, fresh green euphorbias and guelder, as well as buckets of wild flowers - bluebells from our woods and glades of cowparsley. Many think garden flowers do not last as well as shop bought, but that could not be further from the truth if you condition them properly.

That's what I'll start with - all my conditioning tips to make home-grown, home-picked flowers last well once cut. I'll move on to making simple and more elaborate flowers for parties - as well as for everyday. We'll talk about successful colour combinations with recipes for all I show you, covering a range of arrangements, large and small.

The day lasts from 10.30am till 2.30pm including tea/coffee on arrival, morning tea/coffee break with home-made biscuits and a delicious 2 course lunch using fresh produce from the garden at Perch Hill.
