Sowing, Seeds, Planting Should be potted on and planted out when the frosts are over, alternatively you can grow your chysanths in large pots (about 35-40cm in diameter) to move outside in good weather. Care Tips After planting, water generously for 1-2 weeks so the plants get well established. Apply a balanced liquid feed every two weeks from midsummer until the flower buds start to appear. After flowering, cut back the main stem to about 20cm (8in), lift the shortened plants and overwinter in a frost-free place.
