|Sowing, Seeds, Planting||Sow April-May 2 seeds 1cm (½in) deep into a pot/module of compost. Remove weaker seedling if both grow. Plant out in June-July when seedlings are 15cm (6in) high, 60cm (24in) apart. Firm the soil well around the plant base. To prevent win rock. Seeds can also be sown into prepared seed bed in May-June, in rows 15cm (6in) apart and then transplanted when 15cm (6in) tall into final position 45cm (24in) apart.|
|Care Tips||Make sure to rotate your brassicas - don't plant in ground that has previously had brassicas in during the past 4 years. Grow with catch crops underneath until plants reach maturity. Water during dry spells. Feed regularly with plenty of organic matter. Cover with netting to protect from birds. May need staking|
|Storing||Florets should keep in the fridge in a sealed plastic bag for about a week|
|Harvesting||September onwards before the flowers open.|
