Product Description
This red-bronze cousin of 'Green Oak Leaf' Lettuce 'Cocarde' is productive and tasty for months at a stretch. When the garden at Perch Hill was open, more people asked about this lettuce than any other.
Serial sow Lettuce 'Cocarde' , three or four times from early spring to autumn -for picking almost all year.
| Sowing: | Direct sow in small batches every 4-6 weeks from February-September in lines, or blocks, straight into the ground. The plants need plenty of water, but not too much sun. A cool, northern bed, kept moist is ideal. Hot weather inhibits germination. Water the drill before sowing in warmer months to decrease temperatures and sow in the evening. |
| Final Thinning/Planting Distance: | 20-25cm |
| Harvesting: | 6-8 weeks from sowing, for harvesting almost all year. |
