Product Description
Hardy annual. Famously the best tasting, small, tender broad bean you can grow, excellent raw or cooked. It has been bred for thin skins on the actual beans so - even quite old - you won't need to skin them. I've always thought these should be spring sown, but this year, they also did very well from sowing in October and survived the winter well here in Sussex.
Highly recommended.

- EASY
- Sow: February-Mid-May and September/October
- Seeds: 35
Sowing: Direct sow straight into the ground in early spring. Stake each plant and pinch out tips to avoid blackfly. Final Thinning/Planting Distance: Plant seed 5cm deep, 20cm apart in staggered rows 30cm apart. Sow extra seeds at the end of the row for transplants. Harvesting: 8-10 weeks from spring sowing. Regular picking (ideally 2 or 3 times a week) will keep production going for about 4-6 weeks.
