Product Description

Helleborus niger is the earliest flowering, easy to grow garden hellebore with huge white saucer flowers which can be up by Christmas. Sear the stem ends in boiling water and this makes a fabulous winter cut flower.

Site: Cool conditions with partial shade - perfect in a well-drained shady border

Spacing: 30cm apart.
Hardiness: Hardy
Care tips: Plant in well-manured soil and do not move. The different varieties interbreed so keep apart if you do not want them to mix.
Flowers: ❀ January-April
For the vase: Immediately after cutting put the bottom 2.5cm of the stem in boiling water for 20 secs. then plunge it into tepid water. They should then stay fresh for 3-4 days or more. If the flower heads droop cut the stems and repeat the process.
