One of the most spectacular cut flowers you can grow. It is superb in the garden and vase, with shades from purple-blue to bright-blue. This is a very cheap way of introducing delphiniums into your garden. Cut the flower spikes to the ground in July and they will flower in September.

Sowing: Sow under cover in spring or early summer. Pot on until roots fill a 9cm pot Final Thinning/Planting Distance: 45cm. Need staking Flowers: from mid-summer. Can flower in its first year from an early sowing. Flower production: 2-3 months If all flower spikes are removed may get a second flush in the autumn Vase life: 7 days. . Conditioning: For tall spikes a cane can be inserted into hollow stem to prevent bending and breaking
