Anemone coronaria 'Mr Fokker' is a rich, deep blue-purple. The pollinator insects seem to particularly go for this colour and the centre of the flower is often filled with a big fat bumble bee with golden pollen all over its legs.
I saw fields and fields of these beautiful, tall anemones in the most wonderful velvety single colours all over Crete last spring. I realised how much hardier they are than I had thought.
These are one of the most prolific flower-producers you can grow, giving buckets of cut flowers from planting both inside and out.
