Product Description
Alstroemeria 'Eleanor' is a deep yellow flowered
and very floriferous variety of alstroemeria.
This is mid season and
lovely with Angelica gigas
Alstroemerias are one of the longest and hardest performing plants for cutting in the garden. We planted a trial bed four years ago and have been growing and watching them ever since and they are incredible.
In a quite shady bed at Perch Hill, they have flowered from June until November and last autumn we dug up each clump from the cutting garden and planted half in the herbaceous beds in the oast garden, and half of them in a bed in the greenhouse.
Inside, they flowered in February, then again – the same plants in July and November – three crops from one root. Try one or two of these and you’ll come to love them. Excellent for the border and for cutting.
