Sumptuous, glamorous, rich, almost-black trailing nasturtium which we trialled at Perch Hill in 2006 and loved it. This black nasturtium is good in salad and fantastic in smoked haddock fish cakes.
Sow Nasturtium 'Black Velvet' in late spring for summer and autumn picking. It will lightly self-sow. It will attract white fly away from tomatoes and cucumbers.
