how about this............it's really yummy if you like Fruit cakes........fresh plum cake

12oz sr flour

dash cinnamon (couple of tsps)

6oz butter

3oz soft brown sugar

3os sultanas

1lb chopped up plums  (but leave about 6 complete halves)

6 tbs golden syrup

rub butter into flour and cinnamon (like a pastry)  get to the bread crumbs state

stir in saltanas and sugar

beat golden syrup and eggs in separate bowl

then add to dry ingrediaents

fold in chopped up plums

arrange whole plum halves on top and sprinkle with a couple of tbs brown sugar

bake at 180 c for c2hrs,  test cooked in usual way with knife, may need to cover with newspaper to make sure doesn't burn on top

needs to mature for a couple of days beore eating 

but is really yummy with lots of cream

 Hello! I make Spiced plum and ginger muffins. I found the recipe in Waitrose food magazine and it is definately one of my favorites! 

Sorry that should have been plums.
