I love forcing hyacinths for Christmas and early January. If anyone else does, please check out my web site: www.hyacinthvases.org.uk.

I do love other bulbs as well, especially crocus which give us the first taste of spring.

What bulbs do other people like?

Nothing compares to the first flowers of spring, I think these are the flowers that bring the greatest joys because they are the messengers of spring.

Oh Julie....love your site, but it made me want some of your beautiful vases, and I really must not start buying more STUFF!

Having said that , is it too late for bulbs for Christmas now?

I usually have a large pot of paperwhite daffodils on the kitchen window sill around Christmas time.

Daffodils are my absolute favourite flower and my garden is full of them.  I also love snowdrops - it always gives me hope that spring is coming when I find the first snowdrop flower.
