Description

This is the key to success with any wildflower meadow. It is parasitical on grasses and so weakens them, giving wild flowers a chance to compete and gradually establish themselves.

Rather than going to the hassle of removing the topsoil, this is what I've used in my new mini wild flower meadow at Perch Hill. Sow it fresh in the autumn, straight into scarified patches of bare earth and then let it self-sow. Full sowing and mowing instructions will be sent with your order.

  • 400 seeds is enough to cover 2.5m x 1m, or equivalent area
  • Seed of UK origin

Care Tips

Create gaps of soil for the seeds to germinate in. You can easily eliminate or reduce Yellow Rattle if necessary by mowing before it's set seed. Well-managed grassland of low - medium fertility. Will struggle in overgrown or tussocky grassland.
