Delivery
Post and packaging rates are as follows:
- All seed orders have a P&P rate of £2.50
- All other orders (including seed tin collections, seed potatoes, plants, bulbs and hardware) are subject to P&P charges of £4.95
You will only pay once for P&P, regardless of how many deliveries the order is broken into.
Prices quoted are for UK mainland addresses. Delivery to parts of Scotland, Northern Ireland, the Scottish Highlands and Islands, the Channel Islands, the Isle of Man and the Isle of Wight may incur an additional postage cost to the customer. We will contact you if an extra cost is relevant to your order.
How long will my order take to arrive?
Orders are sent out by post or parcel carrier and are despatched as quickly as possible. We aim to despatch orders within 2 working days, with the exception of plants and bulbs which will be despatched at the best time for planting (see below for more information). We tend to be extremely busy in March and October, when it may take up to 5 working days to despatch orders.
We endeavour to make sure that all items are available at the time of order. However, if items do become out of stock we will contact you as soon as possible with an expected delivery date. We also publish up to date delivery information on individual items on the website - please search for the product and look at it's 'Due In' date.
Pre-Ordered Items
Some of the items we sell on our website and in our printed catalogue are seasonal bulbs and plants that need to be pre-ordered. If you pre-order an item, we will grow it for you to the correct size for planting out - as these plants are live, sometimes they take a little longer to grow, and sometimes they grow very swiftly, depending on changes in the weather.
You can pre-order items that are showing a Due In date, eg. Due In: 12/06/2014 - simply add them to the basket and proceed with payment.
If you have pre-ordered an item, full details of expected delivery date will be published in the catalogue or on the product page. We will contact you if there are any changes to these published times.
What does Currently Unavailable mean?
Currently Unavailable means that an item is no longer available to purchase - this does not mean that the item has been sent (this is particularly true with live plants, which are often sold out before they're sent out), and it may mean that the item is in the process of being re-ordered.
In Stock items can be ordered that day.
Often towards the end of the season, due to the popularity of certain items, we have quite a quantity of Currently Unavailable items - to find all the plants and bulbs that are currently available to purchase, please see our A-Z of Plants and Bulbs.
Live plant deliveries
We will deliver your live plants to you at the best time for planting. For approximate dates please see our plant delivery table. Please plant these as soon as you receive them following the planting instructions provided.
If you require a specific delivery date due to holidays etc. then please contact us at the time of ordering and we will try to accomodate your request. Unfortunately if we are not informed at the time of ordering then we may not be able to amend the despatch date.
Overseas Delivery
We are able to deliver seed only orders to European Union (EU) countries at a cost of £6.95 per order (Please note this does not include our seed tin collections which we are unable to despatch overseas). Orders will be held until the entire order is ready to ship and then despatched by International Packet Post which is not a trackable service. Such orders are sent at the customer's risk.
We are not able to send hardware, live plants or bulbs outside the UK at present any seeds can only be sent inside the EU.
We suggest that, where possible, you source your seeds locally or order for delivery to a friend or relative in the UK.
